My Morning Jacket Poster SOLD OUT
UPDATE: Thanks to everyone who snagged one!
Alright, so the Come On Down openings are over, so it’s back to business.
One of the cool things that happened last year that went untold thanks to my website silence was the story of the My Morning Jacket poster. I created one for the band’s stop at House of Blues in Cleveland, Ohio. A few weeks later I get a call from HoB saying that the band loved the poster and may be contacting me- pretty cool I thought, but I would believe it when it happened.
Sure enough someone from MMJ’s team emails asking if they can use the design from the poster on a commemorative shirt for their New Year’s Eve shows in San Francisco. Naturally, I obliged. So they took the art, adjusted some things and printed up a shirt.
You can buy one HERE
And if it’s the poster you want, I’m afraid they’re all gone.
Thanks again
Come on down wrap up
The gallery hop opening of Come On Down was a huge amount of fun, and looked as though it was a big success as well. Thanks to Adam, Dan, Steve, James, Jacquie, Colleen, and, of course, my amazing wife.
Here’s a shot of one of my pieces. More shots of the opening and some of the pieces I had in the show as well after the jump.

From literal interpretations to subtle aesthetics, the artwork in this show highlights the influence of game shows on contemporary art aesthetics. Bright colors, bold exclamations, product promotion, glittery surfaces, and crazed nature area all on display. The opening reception will include audience participation in games to win prizes and art.
