UPDATES!

First the time sensitive stuff:
There are still a few hours left to run the bids up on those CD101 robot prints (again, all proceeds for charity) if you’re feeling up to it.
Do it HERE.

And on to other things.
So the winner of the contest is JILL, from out of the pink sky!
She guessed the correct order:
Octopus/Raccoon/Bear and we sold almost 50!
Congratulations Jill!

Help us out!

CD101 Robot

Here’s hoping I have at least 5 people that like my work and would be willing to throw a little money at a good cause.

I’ve created a special screen-printed piece specifically for Cd101FM’s 17th annual andymanathon auction. Tons of great items up for auction but I wanted to call attention to this 4 color process print. I’m pulling 10 prints total, but only five are available and only through this auction. They’ve started the bidding at 10 dollars and I’d love to see them all go for something as opposed to one print going for a higher bid (though it’d be nice to see them all go for a good sum)

The money goes directly to “CD101 for the kids” which collects donations and then gives it out to several local charities that benefit children.
If you’re feeling especially generous there are also a few Reno posters up for auction as well. Posters that have sold out here in my webstore. So getting them through the auction would be a double bonus (cheaper and for charity!)

The auction ends friday afternoon, so act fast.

So here’s the auction site, and more info too about the event in general.

OK. go———>

PS- the above jpeg is a closer representation to the finished piece (as opposed to the image you’ll see in the auction)

Transportation animals

Tranportation animals

I’m hoping to make these somewhat of an ongoing thing (animals and means of transportation). The first 3 that I created for last week’s craft events are now in the shop.
They’re designed to fit perfectly in a 16×20 frame with an 11×17 matte opening. You can pick them up at places like Target even. My only suggestion would be this- if you plan on hanging them anywhere that might get direct sunlight invest in UV glass. These water based inks will fade like crazy pants if the sun hits ‘em.

go get ‘em

QUICK CONTEST-NOW CLOSED

EDIT: Thanks to everyone that guessed. The wife and I are tallying the numbers and should have a winner tomorrow! Thanks again

I did 3 new art prints for this weekend’s events (in Columbus and Chicago): Bear in car, Raccoons in balloon and Oct on scooter.

You can win all three with free shipping if you can correctly tell me where they’ll WIN PLACE & SHOW* in terms of sales.
Keep in mind these are being sold simultaneously in two cities until 8 pm (EST) tonight.
After that the contest is over.

Figuring that a few people might put them in the correct order the TIE BREAKER will be to guess how many will sell total in both places (not of each print, but of all 3 combined). Closest guess over or under (this isn’t the price is right) is the winner. There are 149 prints total.

Give your guess by leaving a comment, or emailing reno [at] clintonreno.com

Sorry for the poor photos, but they’ll have to do:

Bear in Car
Oct
Raccoons

Feel free to come to either event and try to sway the outcome by purchasing any or all of the 3.
GO

*1st, 2nd & 3rd for anyone that may not know?

Where have I been?

OtR tour poster

Yeah, it’s been some time since I’ve posted anything, but I’m hoping it’s about to get really hectic (more on that in a moment).

In the past two months the site’s been hacked a couple of times- maybe 3 or 5. Thanks to Sean for his quick fixes and vigilance.
Apologies to anyone this has irritated (I don’t think anyone’s reached that point over my website being funky here and there, but I thought I’d apologize anyhow)

So the poster making has slowed down a bit (my doing as we’ve taken some time to focus on some home renovations), with the exception of the above poster- Over the Rhine has hit the west coast again this year for their Christmas tour and they’re dragging about a hundred of these around with them. Always fun to work with Karin & Linford.

But, on to other things- In a few weeks I’ll be in two different cities at the same time. December 5th and 6th I’ll be selling posters and art prints in both Chicago and Columbus. Check the events tab in the nav above for more info.
These events are 19 days away. And I’m hoping to get a few more art prints in as well as reprinting a few other more popular pieces. So if you feel so inclined stay tuned- I’d love to get a little process thing going here every few days to let you know how its all coming!
more soon

Check the Events Tab

I’ll be all over the place over the next 6 weeks.
Come down to any of these events, say hey and maybe buy a poster, print or 2.

Illustration for this month’s 614 magazine

For anyone who would want to (limited probably to my mother & family and a couple dear friends in NYC?) but can’t get a physical copy of the glossy mag, here’s the illustration that accompanies the write up.
(Portraits of Wyatt and I were taken by Chris Atwood. His stuff is beautiful. Check it out here).

Grab a (614) magazine

614 Magazine Illustration

September’s issue should be floating around town.
I’ve got an illustration in there that accompanies a little write up about a few of my favorite posters (mine as well as a few of the other poster houses around town).
Check it out and let me know what you think.

Elton John Billy Joel Poster

Billy Joel, reno poster

I’m kind of blown away by this. Pretty cool.
Was asked a week before the show if I could squeeze in a poster to gift to these two rock icons.
Delivered it just in time to have it framed.
I have NO idea what they might end up doing with these suckers- do they hang on to these? do they have a storage closet somewhere dedicated to such gifts? do they sign it and donate it to a charity? or do they hurl it out the window of the tour bus to see how well it flies? I have no clue, but was very honored to have gotten this opportunity.

And as this is a gift, I am obviously unable to sell the prints from this run, but I may post it up in the poster section one of these days.
Also, the gentleman presenting the posters is the GM of Nationwide Arena. Super nice guy! (Thanks Eric & Karen)

Franz Ferdinand Poster/Paper Doll

Franz Poster

I’ll admit right off the bat this idea came from an old promotional piece from French Paper that I absolutely loved (thanks for your help, Buff).
But I printed it on Durotone Steel Grey (paper from French Paper) so that’s all okay, right?
Anyhow, I had a great time figuring out how to make it all work (a lot harder than I thought it would be), and am pleased to say for the most part that it does. Cut him up and see for yourself.
And while I was unable to make it to the show (traveling back from Ohio University’s Inkahoots) I heard it was amazing!
ps- it’s available now over in the shop!
